This art piece is inspired by my male friends and family that have a love and a passion for our traditions and our culture. This traditional dance is performed around February and is a dedicated prayer to the deer for their sacrifice to feed our families and our community. We never take these beings for granted, as they are a big piece in the circle of life, that keeps us fed during the winter months and all year round. Just like our ancesters and our elders before us, we continue to give our respect and prayers to these beings, so that our people continue to strive.
